The Executive Committee of the Department of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School, would like to acknowledge and congratulate the trainees and faculty who received the following HMS Psychiatry Awards and Fellowships during the 2022-2023 academic year. It is a marvelous way to celebrate our vibrant combined academic community.
 

Stuart Hauser Mentorship Award - The yearly Award is given to a faculty member(s) at Harvard Medical School for outstanding sustained mentorship of medical students, residents, fellows, and junior faculty in the areas of adult and child psychiatry, human development, and psychosocial research.

Cynthia N. Kettyle Teaching Award for Medical Student Education in Psychiatry – Presented annually since 2004 to HMS faculty members who have inspired medical students by their warmth, character and dedication to medical student teaching in psychiatry and have exemplified for students the vitality and relevance of psychiatry to medical practice.

Jonathan F. Borus Outstanding Early Career Educator Award in Medical Student Education in Psychiatry – Presented annually since 2011 to junior HMS faculty members at Harvard Medical School who have demonstrated exceptional promise, initiative and commitment in the area of psychiatric education.

Solomon Award for Best Poster Presentation by a Resident - Award given for the best poster presentation by a Resident at the Harvard Medical School Department of Psychiatry Research Day.

Dupont Warren Fellows – Awarded to HMS Psychiatry Residents to create opportunities for advanced study and research in Psychiatry, and to serve as a bridge between clinical training and the development of a research career.

Kaplen Fellowship on Depression – This Fellowship was endowed specifically to support training in research on depression and allied affective disorders.

  • Nestor Noyola, PhD, Massachusetts General Hospital – “Adapting a Resilience Program to Prevent Depression and Suicide among Transgender and Gender-Expansive (TGE) Adolescents”



Norman E. Zinberg Fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry Research - This Fellowship was endowed specifically to support training in research on alcohol and drug use disorders.

  • Diana Keith, PhD, McLean Hospital – “Alkontrol-herbal (Isoflavone) Effects on Alcohol Drinking in an Outpatient Setting



Livingston Award – This award provides support to beginning investigators in psychiatric research.​​​​​​​
