2021 Theme: Integrating Neuroscience in Psychiatry Teaching

All HMS Psychiatry faculty and trainees are invited.
The registration deadline was March 25th.


Participants may earn continuing medical education credits. There is no fee for registration, and no fee for earning CME/CE credits.

Program to include:

  • 1:00-1:10pm Welcome and update from the Psychiatry Student Interest Group Leaders
  • 1:10-1:25pm Awards presentation of Cynthia Kettyle and Jonathan Borus faculty teaching awards
     
  • 1:30-2:30pm Faculty Workshops - Session 1 (eligible for 1 CME/CE credit):
    • Option A - “What to Say When Patients Ask: Teaching Medical Students Clinically Relevant Neuroscience” by Jane Eisen, MD, and Robert Fenster, MD
    • Option B - “Are We There Yet?  The Need for Neuroscience in Medical School Psychiatry Training” by Joshua Roffman, MD, PhD
    • Option C - “Integrating Neuroscience Into Clinical Teaching as a General Psychiatrist: Challenges and Opportunities” by Jennifer Greenwold, MD, and Montie Meyer, MD
       
  • 2:45-3:45pm Faculty Workshops - Session 2 (same workshops repeat; elibigle for 1 CME/CE credit)
     
  • 4:00-5:00pm Keynote Presentation (eligible for 1 CME/CE credit) - Why Neuroscience Matters in Clinical Psychiatry Education: From PTSD to Addiction by Kerry Ressler, MD, PhD
