 

#  Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency to Separate into Two Distinct Training Programs

Beginning in July 2017, the Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Residency will separate into two distinct training programs. Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, two of the core training sites for the current program will each launch new training programs in July of 2017. Each program will accept ten residents per year and will participate in the 2016 NRMP.  
   
The current Longwood residents will participate in the new training programs and will complete their Longwood training in 2020. Christie Sams, MD and Robert Boland, MD, the current Longwood Director and Co-Director, will remain at the helm of Longwood as well as serve as Directors of the new programs.
